  3. What do you say at a time like this? Jim may have passed on to the other side, but his laugh still echos here! I am sorry it will be a while until we get to hear that laugh in person. We'll be going to the temple in Jim's honor this week. Knowing Jim, that's probably where he is.

I remember the first time I talked with Jim-he talked exitedly about his family and invited us over to climb the rock wall. Later he called and invited us to come over for ice cream, and just to sit on the bench on the front porch. When we finally get a front porch, it will definitely have a bench for friends. Thanks for the constant hospitality. Jim is a good friend.

  5. Dear Jim,

I have great memories of you in my school days. You were one of those ones who were always a step ahead of us. Now you have once again gone ahead of us in the class to the greatest school on high.

I know you will continue to watch over your family and loved ones as you did while on earth. You will be missed by so many, but we all rest assured that Families are forever and life and love is eternal.

I am certain you and your Dad have a special mission. God Be with you until we meet again.

    With love,

  6. To Jim's Family. I just got the news from my grandma Manwill that cousin Jim passed away. I wanted to offer my sympathy. I just found out about his blog today from my aunt Sandra Hansen. I wish I would have known about it sooner. I didn't know him very well because we are second cousins. He seems like an amazing man. I feel honored to say I'm related! My prayers are with all of you who have lost your father, husband, son, and brother.

    Love,
    Alicia Manwill Rawlins

  7. Manwill Family,
We love you and are so sorry for your loss. We know that jim is busy sharing his tesimony with those on the other side. I will never forget Him sharing his insirational story with me when all of this started. The spirit was so strong and I know that the Lord was with him through this experience. I am greatful to have had him as a friend and will miss our conversations and texts. We pray for you to have peace and strength at this time.
    Love,
    Liz, Pride, Ace and Indi

  10. A friend of mine gave me this address to Jim's fight. What an amazing fight he gave. I first logged onto this blog on January 13th and you know what the first post I read was. I too had this experience with my mother. I only look back and see the wonderful things that came out of this fight as I feel that you do too. I know that by reading this blog of your dearly loved one JIM. That the lord has BLESSED your family as he did mine.
You know what my favorite thing about my experience with my mother is ...
that SHE LIVES! As JIM LIVES!!!!
As I raise my beautiful children and notice the way the I parent them, she not only lives but she lives in me. Thank you so much for having such a wonderful son, husband, father, bother, and best friend. I am so greatful that I got such a wonderful reminder that things are only as bad as you let them be.

  11. Tomorrow (4/12/2010) marks 3 months since you left us. I can't believe it's been that long. In fact, I still can't believe you are not here.

I stopped by your grave site tonight. Saw your headstone for the first time in person. Looks really good. Took a picture of it.

Your doctor said you probably only had cancer for 3 months. Same amount of time that you have been gone. So hard to believe that.

I love and miss you bro. Take care of Dad for us.

    Brent.

  12. Well friend and brother, tomorrow marks the one year mark since your passing into the world beyond. Just wanted to let you know that we all still think about you and still can't believe you are gone. But we know this separation is temporary and find great comfort and solace in the sealing ordinances that bind us together as an eternal family. You fought the fight with courage, dignity and your sense of humor. We are thankful that the Comforter helped you and your family with this trial. Hope you and dad are building great mansions for your beautiful and strong wives. I love you.

    You're looking good!

  13. Here it is, exactly 1 year after you left this world. I can't believe it's already been that long. You fought a good fight, even if it was only a 6 week long battle. I miss you and love you bro.
